From July 30 to 31, the Provincial Department of Justice held a special training course on the study and implementation of the Community Correction Law in Nanjing. Professor Li Chuan from our college was invited to give a special lecture on the interpretation of the Community Correction Law for the political and legal system of the district.The purpose of this lecture is to help the functional departments and their staff involved in community corrections to accurately grasp the spirit of legislation, effectively improve the ability to perform duties in accordance with the law, and thoroughly implement the Community Corrections Law.Leaders in charge of judicial bureaus in districts and cities, 98 counties (cities, districts), heads of community corrections institutions, and staff from relevant departments of the Provincial Higher People's Court, Provincial People's Procuratorate, Provincial Public Security Department and other units participated in the training.

Professor Li Chuan closely followed the core and spiritual essence of the Community Correction Law, and carried out an in-depth interpretation around the four aspects of the Community Correction Law: its legislative background, highlights, concerns, and future development.

Through Professor Li Chuan’s in-depth and simple explanation, the participants expressed that they have a deeper understanding and comprehensive grasp of the Community Correction Law. Facing the community correction work under the new situation, all community corrections workers will take the initiative to change their concepts and effort to adapt to the new law enforcement concept and strictly perform statutory duties.
